Grup Zoza’s Debut Concert Receives Huge Applause in Küçükpark

Bornova Municipality’s Youth Festival, organized to celebrate May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, continues at full speed with events ranging from music and sports to health and entertainment. On the festival’s third night, Grup Zoza—comprised of Bornova Municipality’s music instructors and trainees—delivered an unforgettable night for rock music enthusiasts.

Taking the stage in Küçükpark Square, Grup Zoza impressed the crowd with their energetic performance and beloved rock covers. Making their debut performance, the band’s unique interpretations earned high praise, especially from the youth. The square, packed with university students and music lovers, turned into a lively celebration as the crowd sang along and left their mark on the night.

A Step Toward a Healthy Future Through Sports and Awareness

At the “Healthy Youth, Healthy Future” themed health stand, Bornova residents received free blood sugar and blood pressure screenings throughout the day. Awareness activities on HPV drew significant attention. In addition, sports activities such as pilates, zumba, and desk exercises saw enthusiastic participation.

Final Excitement to Peak with Seksendört After a March Through the City

The festival will culminate with a grand finale concert by Grup Seksendört on May 16 at 9:00 PM in Cumhuriyet Square. Before the concert, a celebratory procession will be held, bringing the spirit of May 19 to the streets of Bornova. Starting at 7:30 PM from Küçükpark, the parade will march to Cumhuriyet Square, adorned with flags and accompanied by patriotic songs.

Mayor Eşki Calls on Youth: “Let’s Celebrate This Holiday Together”

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki invited all residents to join the procession and Seksendört concert, stating:

“We are thrilled to be with the youth who are the guarantors of our Republic. May 19 is not just a date—it is a symbol of revival and the unwavering trust in our youth. Come, let’s celebrate this evening together. Let’s walk, sing, and dream together. Tonight, the streets of Bornova will be filled with the joy of youth and the spirit of the Republic.”
