Yeşilova Mound Visitor Center

The Yeşilova and Yassıtepe Mounds, where the oldest human remains in Izmir are located, are located in the Karacabey Neighborhood of Bornova. The Yeşilova Mound excavations, which consist of 4 separate layers belonging to the periods between the transition period from caves to the first plain (Neolithic Age) 8500 years ago and the life in Roman farmhouses 2500 years ago, are being followed with interest by the world archaeology community with their interesting findings. The Yeşilova Mound Visitor Center and the excavation area, which have award-winning architecture and were built by the Bornova Municipality, can be visited in groups accompanied by archaeologists by making an appointment.
