A Rights-Based and Solution-Oriented Meeting from Bornova City Council

Bornova City Council is organizing a Workshop on Disability Rights under the slogan “Together for an Accessible Bornova,” aiming to ensure the full and equal participation of individuals with disabilities in urban life. The workshop will feature discussions around seven thematic tables, where participants will develop solution proposals and policy drafts to be presented to the Bornova Municipal Council. Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that this workshop will lay the foundation for a holistic municipal policy designed around the needs and rights of people with disabilities in Bornova.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Uğur Mumcu Cultural and Arts Center Multi-Purpose Hall, hosted by Bornova Municipality.

Collective Thinking at Seven Thematic Tables

Throughout the day, representatives from public institutions, non-governmental organizations, academics, and experts will come together to discuss solutions to challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. Each of the seven thematic tables will focus on a different key area, promoting inclusive dialogue and actionable outcomes.
