Bornova Municipality continues its Traditional Ashura Events this year, aiming to share the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Muharram and strengthen community solidarity. The events will take place in Büyükpark, one of the district's symbolic locations, and in Gökdere Village.

The first event will be held on Friday, July 11 at 7:00 PM in Büyükpark, where the powerful voice of Turkish Folk Music, Tolga Sağ, will deliver an unforgettable evening to attendees. On Sunday, July 13 at 5:00 PM, the celebrations will continue in Gökdere Village. Renowned Turkish Folk Music artist Muharrem Temiz will perform live with his bağlama. During both events, Ashura will be distributed, and the people of Bornova will come together in unity to embrace the spiritual values of the month of Muharram through music and shared traditions.

To facilitate participation in the Gökdere Village event, free shuttle services will depart at 4:30 PM from the following locations:

• Pınarbaşı Cemevi

• Naldöken Sivas İmralı Divriği Culture and Solidarity Association

• In front of Bornova District Governorate

• Merkez Mahallesi Muhtarlığı
