Victory Day in Bornova to Be Celebrated with Folk Songs

Oğuz Aksaç to Perform His Beloved Songs for the People of Bornova

Bornova Municipality will celebrate August 30 Victory Day with a concert to be held on August 29 at Aşık Veysel Amphitheater. Following the performance of the Turkish Folk Music Choir, renowned artist Oğuz Aksaç will take the stage. Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that August 30 marks one of the most significant turning points in Turkey’s struggle for independence.

The municipality is preparing to mark Victory Day with great enthusiasm. On Friday, August 29, at 20:30, the Turkish Folk Music Choir, conducted by Salih Sütoğlu, will perform at the Aşık Veysel Recreation Area Amphitheater. The evening will conclude with Oğuz Aksaç performing his most popular songs for the people of Bornova.

Highlighting the historical significance of the day, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
