Bornova Municipality Offers Free University Preference Counseling for Students

Following the announcement of the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) results, Bornova Municipality has launched a free university preference counseling service for prospective students at BELGEM and the Gülşah Durbay Youth Center. Emphasizing the importance of equal opportunity in education, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki invited all young people to benefit from the guidance provided by expert counselors.

With the release of the 2026 YKS results, one of the most exciting and decisive stages for university candidates—the preference period—has officially begun. During this important process, Bornova Municipality is offering free counseling services through its team of experienced guidance specialists to help students make informed decisions about their future.

Two Centers Open Their Doors to Future University Students

To help candidates choose the universities and programs that best match their exam scores, rankings, and personal interests, Bornova Municipality has established counseling services at two separate locations.

Students can meet with professional guidance counselors on weekdays to prepare their university preference lists.

Important Reminder for Candidates

To avoid overcrowding and ensure that each student receives sufficient individual counseling, candidates are required to schedule an appointment in advance through the municipality’s designated phone lines before visiting the counseling centers.
