The Era of Electric Vehicles Begins in Bornova

At the September Ordinary Assembly Meeting, Bornova Municipality unanimously decided to purchase 10 electric passenger vehicles to improve the efficiency of municipal services. Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that this step will not only reduce costs but also strengthen Bornova’s goal of becoming an eco-friendly district that produces its own energy.

The September Ordinary Assembly Meeting of Bornova Municipality was held at the council hall of Nevzat Kavalar Cultural Center under the chairmanship of Mayor Ömer Eşki.

New vehicles to be procured from the State Supply Office

During the meeting, the proposal to acquire 10 electric passenger vehicles from the State Supply Office (DMO) to ensure more effective and efficient municipal services was discussed. The decision, presented by the Plan and Budget, Law, and Transportation Commissions, was approved unanimously.

Mayor Eşki: “An important step for sustainability”

Highlighting the importance of energy saving and eco-friendly investments, Mayor Ömer Eşki said:

“We want to transform Bornova into a district capable of producing its own energy. With the use of electric vehicles, not only will our service costs decrease, but our environmentally friendly practices will also grow stronger. This step will bring us closer to our sustainability goals.”
