Stationery Support for Young Students in Bornova

31 August 2025

Stationery from Bornova Municipality, dreams from our children!

Bornova Municipality has launched a program under the slogan “Stationery support from us, dreams from you” to provide stationery sets for children starting primary school. Distribution of 1,250 sets containing materials to meet a student’s needs has already begun.

For the 2025–2026 academic year, Bornova Municipality continues and expands its support for students. Through the Stationery Support Program, the municipality stands by children taking their first steps in education. To support families and motivate students for success, the program provides first-grade students who applied with a set that includes a school bag, pencil case, drawing pad, watercolor set, crayons, pencils, red pencils, eraser, sharpener, and two notebooks.

Equal Opportunity in Education

Highlighting the importance of giving children a strong start in their education, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“I believe ensuring equal opportunities in education is one of the most important duties of local governments. We will continue to do our part. We will keep standing by our children for equal opportunity in education.”

Applications Extended

Bornova Municipality’s Head of Social Assistance, Damla Çelik Kaya, stated that distributions are being made based on applications:
“We initially limited applications to one week. However, due to high demand, we decided to extend both applications and distributions until schools reopen. On the very first day, we delivered nearly one hundred sets. We will continue to provide this support to make even a small difference in people’s lives.”
