With the “Meal on Hold” Initiative, You Can Also Provide a Meal

Through the “Meal on Hold” initiative launched at the City Restaurant, citizens can support those in need by providing hot meals either via online donations or directly at the restaurant’s cash registers. Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that they are strengthening social solidarity in Bornova to ensure that no one is left alone or hungry.

Implemented by Bornova Municipality under its social municipal governance approach, the City Restaurant’s “Meal on Hold” program continues to deliver hot meals to people in need. Citizens can contribute to solidarity either by making online donations or by purchasing a suspended meal at the City Restaurant’s cash desks.

The initiative not only supports individuals facing economic hardship but also reinforces the culture of sharing within the community.
