Road Mobilization in Bornova
Round-the-clock service, simultaneous work on nine fronts
Bornova Municipality is improving transportation comfort by renewing roads across the district through simultaneous asphalt paving, patching, sidewalk, and infrastructure works. Mayor Ömer Eşki, who inspected the works at the 3rd Industrial Site late at night, stated that teams are working day and night and that issues will be resolved quickly.
Bornova Municipality continues to strengthen transportation infrastructure with coordinated road construction, maintenance, and repair works carried out simultaneously across the district. Through efforts conducted in coordination by relevant departments in different neighborhoods, both existing roads are being renewed and long-term solutions are being developed to facilitate daily life for residents.
Nine teams in the field
While pre-asphalt road milling works are ongoing on 296/1 Street in Kazımdirik Neighborhood, asphalt paving is being carried out on 6086 Street in Egemenlik Neighborhood. Meanwhile, asphalt patching teams are repairing damaged roads in Kazım Dirik Neighborhood 3rd Industrial Site, Ergene Neighborhood 457 Street, and Kızılay Neighborhood 491/1 Street, ensuring safer transportation.
Not just asphalt: sidewalks and infrastructure are also renewed
Municipal teams are not limited to road surfacing; they are also carrying out sidewalk and environmental improvement works. Interlocking paving repairs are ongoing in Çınar Neighborhood, while sidewalk concrete works continue on 7008 Street in Gürpınar Neighborhood. Ceramic paving is being implemented in EVKA-3, and in Rafetpaşa Neighborhood, wire mesh concrete applications are being carried out by two separate teams.
As part of infrastructure safety measures, manhole cover elevation teams are also actively working in the field. Especially on 457 Street, covers that remained below asphalt level are being raised to road level to prevent potential risks.
