Road Improvement Mobilization Continues in Bornova

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki conducted inspections in Işıkkent and Pınarbaşı as part of the ongoing road works across the district. Meeting with residents, Mayor Eşki stated that Pınarbaşı’s Pınar Street and the wedding halls area have been renovated, while significant investments have been made in Işıkkent to ease traffic in industrial and logistics zones. He emphasized that works will continue in all problematic and high-need areas.

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki inspected ongoing road construction and renovation works in the neighborhoods of Işıkkent and Pınarbaşı. In Pınarbaşı, he observed asphalt paving and sidewalk works, while in Işıkkent he reviewed interlocking stone paving carried out on streets damaged after natural gas infrastructure works.

During the site visits, Mayor Eşki spoke with local residents and listened to their requests and suggestions. Receiving detailed information from technical staff, he emphasized that the improvements aim to both facilitate daily life and provide long-term solutions to transportation issues.

Pınarbaşı’s Busiest Street Fully Renovated

Stating that a comprehensive transformation was carried out on Pınar Street, one of the most heavily used routes in Pınarbaşı Neighborhood, Mayor Ömer Eşki said the street was completely renewed with landscaping arrangements and a modern lighting system. He also noted that road, sidewalk, and intersection arrangements in the area with wedding halls were addressed through an integrated approach.

Traffic-Relieving Investments in Işıkkent

Mayor Eşki noted that efforts in Işıkkent focused particularly on areas with heavy industrial and logistics activity. He stated that major traffic investments were implemented, especially in the area of the Road Hauliers’ Site as well as the Truck Garage. He added that streets damaged after natural gas works were reconstructed with cut stone paving, improving both infrastructure and superstructure quality in the area.

Emphasizing that road construction, maintenance, and improvement works will continue uninterrupted in problematic and high-need areas across Bornova’s neighborhoods, Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“Our goal is to establish a safe, comfortable, and modern transportation infrastructure in every neighborhood of Bornova.”
