Pınar Street Gets a Brand-New Look

11 June 2025

Bornova Municipality’s Around-the-Clock Comprehensive Renovation Drive

Bornova Municipality is working intensively to completely renovate Pınar Street, one of the district’s most important transportation arteries. Known for its width, length, and heavy usage, the street’s renewal work continues day and night without pause.

The renovation process began in the Değirmenaltı area of Pınarbaşı, where several wedding halls are located. The goal is to modernize the entire stretch extending up to the Kemalpaşa junction, improving both its appearance and functionality.

Mayor Eşki Explains the Details to Citizens

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki inspected the works on-site, received updates from the technical team, and met with local shopkeepers and residents. Greeted warmly with thanks, Mayor Eşki shared the following information about the project:
“Our asphalt paving work on Pınar Street is ongoing. Beyond the asphalt, we will also carry out a very special lighting and landscaping project. We will build a median strip where there currently isn’t one. With road markings, medians, lighting, and tree planting, we will soon open Pınar Street—worthy of Pınarbaşı and Bornova—to public use.”

A Brand-New Road with Modern Median, Lighting, and Landscaping

The project will not only include resurfacing but also the creation of a new median strip down the center of the street. Additionally, modern lighting poles, road markings, tree planting, and landscaping arrangements will enhance both the aesthetics and safety of Pınar Street.
