The Patient Transportation Service is available by appointment for residents of Bornova Municipality who require assistance traveling to healthcare facilities.

Appointments and Scheduling

• Appointments must be requested approximately 10–15 days in advance.
• Same-day appointments are not available.
• The service is provided in accordance with the national 112 Emergency Medical Services protocol.

Service Guidelines

• Patients are transported to hospitals in the morning according to the scheduled order.
• Return transportation is provided in the afternoon.
• The last return trip is at 4:30 p.m.
• The service is not available on weekends.
• This is not an emergency ambulance service.

Eligible Patients

• Bedridden patients
• Patients with paralysis, fractures, or severe mobility limitations

Services Not Covered

• Transportation to healthcare facilities outside İzmir Province
• Transfers between hospitals
• Emergency ambulance services
• Transportation of patients weighing 110 kg (242 lbs) or more
• Transportation of accompanying persons

Important Notes

• Family members or companions are not permitted to ride in the ambulance.
• One family member must assist the patient when transferring from the home to the ambulance.
• Each patient may use the service up to twice per week.
