New Year Joy for Bornova’s Little Ones

1 January 2026

Colorful Celebration at Children’s Play and Activity Centers

At the New Year events organized at Bornova Municipality’s Children’s Play and Activity Centers, children aged 3–6 enjoyed games in their costumes and celebrated by cutting a New Year cake. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that such initiatives, focused on children’s happiness and development, are a valuable investment in Bornova’s future.

The Children’s Play and Activity Centers operated by Bornova Municipality across the district hosted special pre–New Year events that offered joyful moments for young children. In classrooms decorated with a New Year theme, children attracted attention with their costumes, cut a New Year cake, played games, and spent cheerful hours accompanied by their instructors. Families—especially mothers—showed great interest in the events.

A safe environment and strong social support

Operating with half-day programs two days a week under the guidance of expert instructors, the centers provide children with a safe social learning environment while also enabling families to manage their daily tasks more comfortably. More than 500 children aged 3–6 benefit from the 12 centers serving across Bornova, making these facilities an important example of social municipal services focused on early childhood development.

Mayor Eşki: “Children’s happiness is an investment in Bornova’s future”

Highlighting the importance of the centers, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“We work to ensure that our children grow up in safe, happy, and healthy environments. These centers are not only play areas; they are also vital services that give families breathing room and support children’s social development. In the New Year, we will continue to create and deliver services for our children.”
