"Poseidon’s Workshop" Opens Its Doors

Participants of Bornova Municipality’s Hobby and Skills Development Courses showcased the ceramic works they created with patience, dedication, and creativity throughout the year. The exhibition, hosted at the historic Dramalılar Mansion Gallery Bathhouse Art Center, brought together art lovers and the talented course participants. The opening attracted significant interest, and the unique ceramic pieces received great appreciation from visitors.

The exhibition highlights the harmonious blend of two different artistic perspectives brought to life through clay. Serenay İslamoğlu, one of the experienced ceramic instructors, encouraged her students throughout the year to work on completely free themes, allowing them to push the boundaries of their imagination. Another valued instructor, Hülya Gül, centered this year’s work around the theme of “The Sea.”

The Rhythm of the Sea and Free Imagination Meet in Clay

Inspired by the mysterious depths of the sea, the captivating rhythm of waves, and the mythological associations of ancient times, the artworks form the foundation of the exhibition’s concept. The powerful thematic atmosphere reflected in the pieces inspired the exhibition’s title, “Poseidon’s Workshop.”

Children and adult participants alike expressed their happiness and pride in exhibiting their work, thanking Bornova Municipality and Mayor Ömer Eşki for providing them with artistic opportunities and creative spaces. The “Poseidon’s Workshop” ceramic exhibition once again showcases Bornova’s rich cultural and artistic life.
