Children Enjoy and Learn Under the Stage Lights

Bornova Municipality has launched its special theatre program for children during the midterm break with the play “The Forest of Happiness”, staged at the Mevlana Community and Science Center. Stating that the aim of these events is for children to both enjoy themselves and learn, Mayor Ömer Eşki noted that theatre performances will continue in different neighborhoods throughout the holiday.

Staged at the Prof. Dr. Abdullah Kızılırmak Theatre Stage in the Mevlana Community and Science Center, “The Forest of Happiness” offered children joyful and educational moments. Set in a forest, the play—rich in themes of friendship and solidarity and featuring trees, animals, and all living beings of nature—conveyed the importance of harmony and acting together. The children greatly enjoyed the performance and thanked Bornova Municipality for remembering them during the school break.

Mayor Eşki: “We Touch the Imagination of Children”

Emphasizing the importance of introducing children to culture and the arts at an early age, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“We want our children not only to have fun, but also to think, question, and learn to share. With the theatre performances we will stage in different neighborhoods during the midterm break, we will continue to touch the imagination of our children.”
