Mayor Eşki Visits Shopkeepers in Çamdibi

12 June 2025

"We are working together for more orderly streets"

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki visited shopkeepers around the Şehit Er Adem Bilaloğlu Facility and the Covered Market Area in Çamdibi, one of the busiest parts of the district. Going from shop to shop, Mayor Eşki spoke with business owners, wished them good fortune in their work, and listened to their concerns and suggestions. Officials from the Municipal Police Department also accompanied the visit.

Emphasis on Order and Safety

Highlighting the congestion in the area, especially on market days, Mayor Eşki said:
“This level of crowding poses a serious traffic and safety issue for both pedestrians and vehicles. That’s why proper use of roads and sidewalks is essential. By working together with our shopkeepers, we can create a more orderly and secure shopping environment.”

Participatory Governance Approach Continues

Mayor Eşki emphasized the importance of direct contact with citizens and business owners, stating:
“Field visits are not just for supervision. They are also a means to build mutual understanding and develop solutions. We value your requests and suggestions—we are managing this city together.”
