Spending Time with His Family in Nature, Alongside the People of Bornova

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki spent part of his weekend enjoying a walk with his wife Beste Eşki and their children, Asya Tuna and Noyan Volkan, at Aşık Veysel Recreation Area. Highlighting the importance of healthy living and green spaces, Mayor Eşki said Bornova Municipality will continue expanding recreational areas where residents of all ages can exercise and enjoy nature.

Taking a short break from his busy work schedule, Mayor Eşki joined his wife, his 10-year-old daughter Asya Tuna, and his one-year-old son Noyan Volkan for a morning walk in one of Bornova and İzmir's most important green spaces. During the family outing, Eşki enjoyed exercising while spending quality time outdoors with his family.

"Green Spaces Improve Quality of Life"

Speaking during the walk, Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized the importance of green areas in urban life.

"Whenever our busy schedule allows, we make an effort to spend time outdoors as a family. Regular walking is essential for both physical and mental well-being. Green spaces like Aşık Veysel Recreation Area are indispensable parts of urban life, offering residents a place to breathe and reconnect with nature."

Eşki noted that Bornova Municipality continues to expand parks and green areas while improving the quality of existing recreational spaces.

"Our goal is to increase the number of green public spaces where people of all ages can exercise safely, children can play freely, and families can spend time together in peace. We remain committed to building a greener, healthier, and more livable Bornova."

A Morning Surrounded by Nature

During the early morning walk, the Eşki family exercised along the recreation area's walking trails while enjoying nature together with their children. Mayor Eşki also took time to chat with local residents, emphasizing that parks and recreation areas—widely enjoyed by the people of Bornova—continue to add significant value to urban life.
