“We Stand by the People of Bornova in All Circumstances”

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki has added home visits to his neighborhood tours, which he has been conducting to identify investments and services needed across the district on site and to listen directly to residents’ concerns and requests. As part of this effort, Mayor Eşki visited the Alkın family in Kızılay Neighborhood, whose home was damaged by an unfortunate electrical fire, to offer his well wishes.

Mayor Eşki met with Zeynep and Hasan Alkın, their daughter Elifnaz, and grandmother Hatice Alkın in a warm and sincere atmosphere, conveying the message that Bornova Municipality would always stand by the family.

“Our Residents’ Problems Are Our Problems”

Sharing tea with the Alkın family during his visit and listening to their satisfaction and expectations regarding municipal services, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that no resident of Bornova should ever feel alone. Mayor Eşki said:

“People are at the heart of our approach to municipal governance. We are demonstrating a form of leadership that does not simply remain behind a desk, but stands alongside residents in their streets and neighborhoods, both in good times and in difficult times. The unfortunate incident experienced by the Alkın family deeply saddened us all. I would once again like to extend my best wishes to them. As Bornova Municipality, it is our primary responsibility to help our residents recover from difficult circumstances and to be there for them whenever they need support. No one in Bornova will be left without support.”
