Bornova Continues Efforts for Comfortable Access in Every Street

Despite the summer heat, Bornova Municipality continues its asphalt paving operations without interruption. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki personally inspected the work being carried out simultaneously across the district, stating, “We will not stop until every street in Bornova offers comfortable transportation.”

Bornova Municipality is carrying out asphalt paving operations with two separate teams to provide residents with safer and more comfortable transportation. Mayor Ömer Eşki visited the ongoing hot asphalt works in İnönü and Çamkule neighborhoods, where he met with residents and neighborhood headmen to share updates and gather feedback.

Joining Mayor Eşki during the field visit was Prof. Dr. Kamil Okyay Sındır, a former mayor of Bornova, former Member of Parliament for three terms, and former Secretary General of the Republican People’s Party (CHP).

Paving Operations Accelerated with Two Teams

Commenting on the operations, Mayor Eşki emphasized the increased capacity of asphalt paving:
“We have accelerated our work significantly. Previously, we had only one paving team. Now, we have two—one operating in Bornova’s first region, the other in the second.”

Mayor Eşki shared that after completing asphalt works on 14 streets in Çamkule Neighborhood, the teams would move on to Serintepe. In the first region, following the paving of 10 streets in İnönü Neighborhood, the work will continue in Atatürk, Evka-4, and Kızılay neighborhoods. “Our efforts will go on until we reach every street in Bornova,” he said.

Support Message from Sındır

Prof. Dr. Kamil Okyay Sındır expressed his appreciation for Bornova Municipality’s work on improving transportation infrastructure and thanked Mayor Eşki for his dedication and service.
