“We Are Building Bornova Street by Street Through Collective Wisdom”

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki met with residents of Ümit Neighborhood as part of his ongoing field visits guided by the principle of “collective wisdom.” Together with Neighborhood Mukhtar Cemal Altın, he visited the local coffeehouse, shared tea with residents, and listened directly to their requests and concerns. Emphasizing that they manage Bornova not from behind a desk but out in the streets, Eşki stated that they would continue to make decisions on services and investments together with residents.

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki continued his field visits in Ümit Neighborhood in line with the principles of “collective wisdom” and “on-site governance.” Meeting with tradespeople and residents across the district, Mayor Eşki listened directly to the requests, suggestions, and concerns of neighborhood residents.

A Warm Gathering at the Neighborhood Coffeehouse

Accompanied by Ümit Neighborhood Mukhtar Cemal Altın, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki toured the neighborhood and inspected ongoing municipal work on site. He then visited the neighborhood coffeehouse, greeting residents one by one and creating an informal and friendly atmosphere. Over tea, they discussed the services being carried out by the municipality in the neighborhood and exchanged views on current national issues.

During the visit, Mayor Ömer Eşki spoke about Bornova Municipality’s vision and projects planned for the neighborhood, saying:
