All Materials Are Free at BELGEM

At the Bornova Municipality Youth Education Center (BELGEM), where free educational support is provided, nearly 2,000 students receive free study books, worksheets, practice exams, and guidance services. The center offers education from 4th grade to post-graduation levels, preparing students for both the LGS and YKS exams. Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that all resources are being mobilized to ensure equal educational opportunities.

Free Distribution of Study Books and Worksheets
At BELGEM, which offers free educational support, supplementary study books were distributed to exam group students, while worksheets were given to students in other grade levels to help boost their academic success. This year, around 2,000 students are expected to benefit from the center. All educational materials are provided free of charge, along with practice exams and guidance counseling.

Equal Opportunity in Exam Preparation
All course materials are distributed to students at no cost. Regular monthly mock exams are held, and one-on-one counseling is provided by guidance counselors—particularly for students in exam preparation groups. BELGEM is open exclusively to students residing in Bornova or studying at schools within the district.

From English Lessons to University Preparation
At BELGEM, English courses are offered for 4th and 5th graders, while students from 6th grade through post-graduation receive support in a variety of subjects. With a staff of 50 educators, the center prepares students for both the LGS and YKS exams. This year, 1,800 students have already enrolled, with the goal of reaching 2,000 through additional placements.

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that the most important aspect of BELGEM is that all resources—including books, tests, and materials—are provided free of charge. “Equal opportunity in education is very important to us,” said Eşki. “We are mobilizing all our resources to help Bornova’s students achieve their dreams. BELGEM is not just a place to prepare for exams; it is also a center that builds confidence and prepares our youth for the future.”
