282 Streets in Çamdibi to Be Paved with Asphalt

Accelerating infrastructure works to improve road comfort across Bornova and advance its vision of a modern city, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki inspected the ongoing asphalt paving works in Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighborhood of Çamdibi. Announcing the long-awaited transformation for residents of Bornova, Mayor Eşki emphasized that they would keep their promise to the people of Çamdibi by removing the existing interlocking paving stones and completely resurfacing the area with asphalt.

As part of the inspection, Mayor Ömer Eşki visited the area together with Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighborhood Head Mürvet Dinsever and met with local residents for a warm conversation. Listening directly to residents’ requests, suggestions and thanks, Eşki received technical updates from the relevant department heads and field supervisors on the progress of the works. Residents of Çamdibi expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing intensive work and thanked Mayor Eşki and his team.

Mayor Eşki: “We Aim to Reach Three-Digit Numbers by the New Year!”

Sharing details of the major road improvement initiative launched in Çamdibi, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that their goal was to complete the entire area next year, saying:

“We had started asphalt works on 282 streets in the Çamdibi area. As of today, we have brought asphalt to 30 of those streets. We aim to rapidly reach three-digit numbers by the New Year. Hopefully, our goal is to complete all of them next year.”

Emphasizing that replacing the interlocking paving stones in the area with permanent and modern asphalt surfaces has been a long-awaited service, Mayor Eşki continued:

“There has been a long-standing demand and expectation in this area to remove the interlocking paving stones and replace them with asphalt. Hopefully, during our term, together with our neighborhood heads and council members, we will keep the promise we made to the people of Çamdibi. We will deliver the services this area deserves.”
