Green Hope for the Future During Forest Week

As part of Forest Week activities organized by Bornova Municipality, kindergarten and middle school students came together with nature by preparing seed balls and planting saplings. Contributing to the reforestation of areas damaged by fires, children also gained environmental awareness. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized the importance of instilling a love of nature at an early age.

The Agricultural Services Directorate of Bornova Municipality brought children together with nature through various events held במסגרת Forest Week. Students from Gelecek Kindergarten prepared seed balls in Beşyol Neighborhood under the guidance of their teachers. As part of the continuation of the event, they visited a forest area in Bornova Karaçam that had been damaged by fire and placed the seed balls into the soil. The children’s excitement in giving life back to nature marked the highlight of the event.

Learning the importance of protecting nature through experience

Meanwhile, as part of Forest Week activities, students from İsmet Sezgin Secondary School gathered at the Pınarbaşı Sevgi Grove. The students planted a total of 100 pine and acorn saplings, contributing to the expansion of green areas.

Emphasizing the importance of developing environmental awareness at an early age, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated:
