Bornova Municipality’s Culinary Workshops Receive Great Interest from Children

Bornova Municipality’s “Little Chefs in the Kitchen During Summer Break” program has officially begun. Through pastry and cooking workshops, young chefs are having fun while developing their culinary skills. Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that activities designed to help children make the most of their summer holidays will continue throughout the season.

Organized for children aged 4 to 12, the “Little Chefs in the Kitchen During Summer Break” program has kicked off with enthusiastic participation, combining learning and entertainment during the summer holiday. Held at the Culinary Workshop in Evka-3 Neighborhood, the sessions allow children to improve their kitchen skills while enjoying a creative and engaging experience. Due to high demand, the workshops will continue with different themes until July 24, 2026.

Colorful Workshops from Desserts to Pasta

Throughout July, children are exploring the exciting world of cooking under the guidance of professional instructors. The Pastry – Rainbow Desserts Workshop takes place on July 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, while the Cooking – Colorful Pasta Workshop is held on July 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, and 24. Each workshop is offered in two sessions: 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Learning While Having Fun

The workshops teach children essential kitchen skills such as safe food preparation, hygiene, teamwork, and the joy of creating something with their own hands. Participants prepare colorful and delicious dishes while gaining confidence in the kitchen. Families have also shown great interest in the program, which provides children with an enjoyable and educational way to spend their summer vacation.

Mayor Eşki: “We Will Continue Supporting Our Children’s Development”

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized the importance of offering both educational and entertaining activities during the summer holiday.

“We will continue organizing activities where our children can gain new skills while experiencing the joy of creating and sharing. We are delighted by the enthusiastic response our little chefs have shown to the kitchen workshops. Throughout the summer, we will continue to stand by our children with high-quality programs that contribute to their personal development,” he said.
