Laughter Continues with Open-Air Cinema in Bornova

The event that started in Büyükpark continued in Pınarbaşı

Bornova Municipality’s Summer Open-Air Cinema Days began in Büyükpark with the film Kolonya Cumhuriyeti and continued in Pınarbaşı with the screening of Hedefim Sensin. Offering nostalgic moments with complimentary soda and popcorn, the event will continue in 10 neighborhoods until August 14. Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that such events strengthen neighborhood culture and communal living.

A highly anticipated summer tradition in Bornova, the Open-Air Cinema Days kicked off with Kolonya Cumhuriyeti in Büyükpark. The second stop of the event was Pınarbaşı Çamlık Park, where the comedy Hedefim Sensin brought waves of laughter. Residents enjoyed the summer evening with soda and popcorn, while families and neighbors shared a nostalgic movie experience.

10 Films in 10 Neighborhoods, a Month-Long Comedy Festival
Bornova Municipality launched the open-air cinema series on July 17, and it will continue across 10 different neighborhoods until August 14. Each week, a giant screen will be set up in a different location, bringing beloved Turkish comedy films to the heart of local communities.

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that these events help revitalize neighborhood culture and enrich urban life:
“Bornova residents deserve to laugh and have fun together. Through open-air cinema, we share not just films but also solidarity and a culture of communal living. We will bring culture, art, and joy to every corner of Bornova,” he said.
