Knowledge and Excitement Meet in Bornova

Young Minds Competed, Earned Big Applause

The Bornova Municipality Youth Education Center (BELGEM) organized a knowledge competition for 4th and 5th grade students. In the event, which was filled with excitement, students both reinforced their knowledge and developed teamwork and quick-thinking skills. Awards were presented to the winning teams by Ömer Eşki.

Fierce competition at Çamdibi BELGEM

The competition, organized by Bornova Municipality, was held at the Çamdibi BELGEM Course Building with strong participation. A total of 70 students, forming 14 teams, showcased both their knowledge and rapid thinking abilities.

هدف: Learning through fun, succeeding together

The event aimed to improve students’ general knowledge, reinforce what they learned at school and courses, enhance quick-thinking skills, and encourage teamwork. The competition consisted of three rounds (easy, medium, difficult), with 12 questions in each round, and students competed against time.

Winners celebrated with great joy

At the end of the competition, the winning teams celebrated enthusiastically:

  • 5th Grades: Brain Blasters (1st), Intelligence Rockets (2nd)
  • 4th Grades: Knowledge Jets (1st), Mind Lightning (2nd)

Medals and trophies were presented to the winning teams by Mayor Ömer Eşki.

Mayor Eşki: “This excitement is the best sign of our future”

In his speech, Mayor Eşki expressed his happiness about the students’ energy:
“Today, we are not just watching a competition; we are also witnessing how bright our future is. While watching the competition between Knowledge Jets and Mind Lightning, I was just as excited as you. This excitement is the excitement of learning and achieving together. It is very valuable for us that you come together in such events, socialize, and produce together. Because we know that a strong society is built by individuals who think, question, and act together. As Bornova Municipality, we will continue to support every project that contributes to your education. I congratulate you all and wish you continued success.”
