Izmir Residents United at “Bi Hayat Fest”

A Spirit of Solidarity Filled Bornova’s Büyükpark

Hosted by the Bornova Municipality, the “Bi Hayat Fest” held at Büyükpark was organized to support the treatment of Abbas Miran, a child with SMA Type 1, and Berk Yıldız, who suffers from DMD. Throughout the week-long festival, concerts, workshops, and various stands created a strong atmosphere of solidarity. Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that Bornova is a city of kindness and hope, extending his gratitude to everyone who participated.

The “Bi Hayat Fest,” which took place over the course of a week in Büyükpark under the hosting of Bornova Municipality, concluded with a weekend full of vibrant events. Thousands of visitors from Bornova and across Izmir attended the festival, which aimed to raise support for the medical treatment of Abbas Miran and Berk Yıldız. Concerts, theatrical performances, workshops, and goodwill stands contributed to an inspiring sense of unity and compassion.

Ömer Eşki: “Bornova is the city of hope”

During his closing remarks, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki underlined the importance of community solidarity, saying:

“Bi Hayat Fest is more than just an event—it’s the most powerful reflection of Bornova’s spirit of togetherness. I sincerely thank everyone who came together to support this cause. Bornova is the city of solidarity and hope. All the people who joined hands for Abbas Miran and Berk are the greatest of hearts.”

Eşki also expressed his gratitude to the sponsor companies, adding:

“We are truly thankful to all the businesses that donated their daily earnings to help fund our children’s treatments, setting an example of solidarity. This movement of goodwill will continue to grow.”

Stalls Drew Great Interest — Taste, Shopping, and Support

Local food and gift stalls set up in the festival area attracted great attention from visitors. Participants contributed to the campaign by tasting regional delicacies and shopping for handmade products. At the sponsor company booth in Büyükpark Square, a different brand each day donated all of its daily income to the treatment of the two children, setting an inspiring example of social responsibility.

Famous Artists and Colorful Events Captured Attention

The festival featured performances by renowned artists such as Işın Karaca, Anıl Piyancı, Sevcan Orhan, Büşra Salepçioğlu, Fondip, and Ozborn The Roctors, offering unforgettable moments to thousands of music lovers. Participants also enjoyed yoga, dance, theater, and a variety of workshops, experiencing both joy and the satisfaction of contributing to a meaningful cause.
