Healthy Nutrition Support for Students from Bornova

Bornova Municipality continues its nutrition support program launched in schools located in disadvantaged areas. Mayor Ömer Eşki visited students at Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi Imam Hatip Secondary School, distributing nutrition packages and announcing that the support will be expanded to all schools across the district.

With the start of the new academic year, Bornova Municipality has been sustaining its nutrition support in disadvantaged schools. During his visit to Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi Imam Hatip Secondary School, Mayor Ömer Eşki met with students and handed out nutrition packages.

Ömer Eşki: “No child of ours should go hungry”

Emphasizing the importance of ensuring that children continue their education in a healthier and happier way, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“Every child has the right to healthy nutrition. We want to make sure that no child in Bornova goes hungry and that they can pursue their education without any shortcomings. This support will not be limited to a few schools; in the coming weeks, we will expand it to include all students from kindergarten to high school.”

From Kent Markets to students’ tables

The nutrition packages include snacks children enjoy, such as cake, wafers, fruit juice, and halva. All items are sourced from Kent Markets, one of Bornova Municipality’s key social projects.
