Health Education Programs for Students Continue

Bornova Municipality continues to organize health education programs for students on topics such as healthy nutrition, hygiene, oral and dental health, and first aid. The program aims to help children develop health awareness at an early age and continues to be implemented in different schools each month. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that these efforts aim to raise healthier generations.

The comprehensive health education program launched by the Bornova Municipality Directorate of Health Affairs for primary and middle school students continues without slowing down. This time, the trainings were held for students of Okyanus College and Fen Bilimleri Schools.

The program covers healthy nutrition, hygiene, oral and dental health, and basic first aid, aiming to help students develop healthy habits from an early age. The trainings last for two days in each school, are held between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and continue to be implemented in two different schools every month.

Practical and interactive training model

During the trainings conducted by expert healthcare professionals, students are not only listeners but also active participants. An interactive environment is created through question-and-answer sessions following the presentations, while practical information applicable to daily life is also shared.

The training topics include healthy eating habits, personal hygiene rules, protection of oral and dental health, prevention of posture disorders, and basic first aid knowledge.

Mayor Eşki: “Health awareness starts at an early age”

Emphasizing the importance of the project, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated:

“Instilling health awareness in children at an early age is the strongest investment we can make. Through these trainings, we are preparing a healthier society for the future.”

Trainings will continue to expand

Bornova Municipality aims to reach more schools with its health education program in the coming months. The project seeks both to increase children’s individual health awareness and to raise the overall level of awareness throughout society.
