Children from Bornova Municipality’s Play and Activity Centers across the district celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the Republic with great joy. During the event held at the Yıldız Kenter Stage of the Altındağ Atatürk Cultural Center NGO Complex, the children performed dances, songs, and poems they had carefully prepared.

Families showed great interest in the event, recording these special moments on their phones as the children impressed the audience with their performances. The hall was filled with vibrant scenes as the energy of the children combined with the excitement of the Republic.

“We are nurturing the spirit of the Republic with our children”

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated after the event that the children’s love for the Republic was a source of hope for the future:
“It is a great joy for us to celebrate the 102nd anniversary of our Republic with the enthusiasm of our little ones. Our children are the most beautiful guarantee of the Republic. We are working for a Bornova where they can grow up safely, happily, and freely. Together with our children, we are keeping the spirit of the Republic alive.”

Safe, Educational, and Social Spaces

Bornova Municipality’s Play and Activity Centers—located in Naldöken, Evka 3, Merkez, Mevlana, Serintepe, Pınarbaşı, Atatürk, Altındağ, and Doğanlar neighborhoods—serve children aged 3 to 6. Under the guidance of expert educators, children participate in half-day educational and play activities twice a week.

These centers provide a safe environment for children while also allowing mothers to take time for themselves and complete their daily tasks with ease.
