The Grass Head Workshop organized at Bornova Municipality’s Children’s Play and Activity Centers provided children with both educational and enjoyable moments. Held with family participation, the event allowed children to have fun alongside their mothers and instructors while also expressing their creativity.

As part of the workshop, children created their own “grass head” crafts using scissors, paper, and glue to decorate their designs. The colorful event helped children develop their manual skills while also giving them the experience of sharing and producing together.

Parents expressed their appreciation to Bornova Municipality and Mayor Ömer Eşki for both the event and the Children’s Play and Activity Centers.

Learning and Socializing Together

Operating under the Directorate of Women and Family Services, the Children’s Play and Activity Centers stand out with activities that support child development. Services are provided at a total of 10 centers located in Pınarbaşı, EVKA 3, Naldöken, Altındağ, Merkez, Atatürk, Serintepe, Mevlana, Doğanlar, and Doğanlar Atatürk Çağdaş neighborhoods.

At these centers, children are offered a safe social learning environment under the guidance of expert instructors, while parents are given the opportunity to comfortably manage their daily responsibilities. Serving more than 500 children between the ages of 3 and 5, the centers represent an important example of social municipal services that contribute to early childhood development.
