“Giderayak” Heads to the Golden Orange

Film Supported by Bornova Municipality Selected as Short Film Finalist

The short film “Giderayak”, supported by the Bornova Municipality Film Office, has been selected as a National Short Film Finalist at the 62nd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival from among 233 films. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki congratulated the team, stating that they will continue to support young talents.

A short film that received Short Film Production Support in 2025 from the Bornova Municipality Film Office (BBFO) has made it to the finals of the 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Written and directed by Nuh Lalbay, “Giderayak” was selected among the top 10 finalists out of 233 short films in the National Short Film category.

BBFO coordinator Nesli Özalp also joined the team as assistant director, while Bornova Municipality provided equipment support that played a significant role in the film’s festival achievement. The festival will be held between October 24 – November 2, 2025, where the “Giderayak” team will appear before the jury.

“We will continue to support the arts”
Speaking on the achievement, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“As Bornova Municipality, we bring culture and art to every part of our district, supporting young and talented film crews. The fact that ‘Giderayak’ has become a finalist at the Golden Orange is a testament to both BBFO’s and the team’s success. I congratulate the team and wish them the best of luck at the festival.”

Synopsis
Koray, a white-collar worker deeply affected by society’s increasing moral decline and his anxiety about the future, decides to move abroad. Shortly before his departure, his two closest friends invite him to a farewell dinner.
