BELGEM Offers Free Guidance to All Students During the YKS Preference Period
Bornova Municipality Youth Education Center (BELGEM) is providing free guidance services to all students during the YKS university preference period. Both students and parents have expressed their satisfaction with the support provided from exam preparation to the selection stage, while Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that ensuring equal opportunities in education is among their top priorities. BELGEM offers comprehensive education and counseling services to students at various grade levels throughout the year.
The Bornova Municipality Youth Education Center continues to stand by young people who dream of going to university, even during the YKS preference process. The Guidance and Counseling Service, established in the main building in Çamdibi, offers free services to all students in Bornova.
Doors Open to All Students During Preference Period
BELGEM Director Süheyla Kayalı stated, “Together with our guidance counselor, we are supporting our students in the preference process. Our doors are open not only to our own students but to all students in Bornova who need guidance services. This service will continue until the end of the preference period.”
Psychological Counselor and Guidance Teacher Emre Gülcem added, “At BELGEM, we help students overcome problems, confusion, and even conflicts with their families during the preference process. We welcome all students to benefit from this service.”

BELGEM student Şimal Karadayı said, “Thanks to BELGEM, my ranking improved from 1.9 million to 740,000. Now I can apply to all the programs I want. I thank my teachers and Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki very much.”

BELGEM: Preparing Not Just for Exams, But for the Future
Bornova Municipality Youth Education Center (BELGEM) provides educational support to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, and offers comprehensive educational opportunities to 10th, 11th, 12th graders, and graduates.
Students benefiting from BELGEM’s free services can easily access their class schedules, attendance records, and exam results via the BİLSA-OKULSİS Program. Monthly practice exams and continuous support from the Guidance Service ensure students’ progress is regularly monitored.
