From Pastry-Making to Pasta Workshops: Hands-On Culinary Training

Bornova Municipality offers hands-on culinary workshops, providing participants with practical training in areas such as pastry-making and pasta preparation. A special cookie decorating workshop organized for April 23 will also give children a fun and creative experience. Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that these activities aim to raise productive and happy individuals.

Throughout April, Bornova Municipality’s kitchen workshops offer both adults and children enjoyable and educational experiences. While participants gain new culinary skills through practical training, specially designed activities for children also draw significant attention.

First step toward mastery in the kitchen

The “Basic Pastry Training” held at the Bornova Municipality Kitchen Workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of pastry-making. The program covers sugar paste figure design, sponge cake preparation, cream making, coating, and decoration techniques. Held on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout April, the program lasts four weeks with morning and afternoon groups.

The “Pasta Making Techniques” daily workshops, which began on April 2, will continue until April 17. In this workshop, participants gain hands-on experience, particularly in preparing fettuccine Alfredo, while improving their kitchen skills.

Special for April 23: Little chefs take the stage

As part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, Bornova Municipality will organize a “Cookie Decorating Workshop” on Wednesday, April 22. During this all-day event at the Kitchen Workshop, children will design and decorate their own cookies, enjoying both creativity and fun.
