Mayor Ömer Eşki Meets with Yörük-Turkmen Federation

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki met with members of the Aegean Region Yörük Turkmen Associations Federation over breakfast at the Oba Yörük Turkmen Culture Center. During the event, Mayor Eşki discussed future collaborations with Federation President Ramazan Dumanlı, including plans to establish a Yörük Tent in Bornova to promote Yörük culture in a more comprehensive way.

The First Step Toward a Festival

Highlighting the important cultural role that Yörüks play in Turkish society, Mayor Eşki said:

“As Bornova Municipality, we will take all necessary steps for the Yörük Festival planned for next year. In this festival, our Yörük citizens will join us with their rich history and traditions. We want them to share these values with our younger generations.”

President Ramazan Dumanlı of the Aegean Region Yörük Turkmen Associations Federation thanked Mayor Eşki for his ongoing efforts to promote and preserve Yörük heritage.
