The mixed original printmaking exhibition titled “Fine Works”, featuring the works of Ege University Painting Teaching Department students, was presented to art lovers with the support of Bornova Municipality. Hosted at the Uğur Mumcu Culture and Art Center, the exhibition—featuring pieces created using various techniques—will remain open to visitors until June 28.

The collection, comprising 80 works created by 20 students using diverse methods such as natural printing and calligraphy printmaking, offered visitors a rich visual experience. These pieces, prepared as part of the students’ second-year Original Printmaking course, reflect the production process and invite the viewer to a serene and introspective journey. Speaking on behalf of the students, Associate Professor Dr. Dizar Ercivan Zencirci said:

“We are delighted to exhibit the works our students have produced over the past year here today. We thank Bornova Municipality and Mayor Ömer Eşki for providing this opportunity and embracing the artists and art educators of the future.”

Cultural Affairs Director Barut: “The real value comes from your dedication”

Bornova Municipality’s Director of Cultural Affairs, Yasin Barut, emphasized the importance of the students’ contribution, saying:

“You are the ones who put in the real effort—those who dedicate themselves to expressing something through art and perhaps will build a future in this field. Thank you for the value you’ve added to this exhibition space through your effort and your work.”
