Mayor Ömer Eşki Extends Holiday Greetings to All Municipal Staff

Before the start of Eid al-Adha, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki visited municipal employees to celebrate the holiday together. Early in the morning, he visited the Sanitation, Parks and Gardens, and Public Works departments, offering Eid greetings to workers before their shifts. Later, he met with staff from the Main Service Building and other municipal departments at the Ayfer Feray Open-Air Theater.

Deputy mayors, city council members, and neighborhood mukhtars also attended the celebration. Mayor Eşki greeted each employee individually, wishing them and their families a joyful, peaceful, and healthy holiday.

“Bornova is More Beautiful Thanks to Your Efforts”

In his speech during the gathering, Mayor Eşki emphasized the dedication and hard work of municipal employees:

“This city is cleaned, beautified, and made livable thanks to your efforts. From sanitation to parks, from public works to culture, you work tirelessly day and night to serve the people of Bornova. I thank all my colleagues who give their best in every area. Bornova is becoming a better, more livable city because of your labor. Together, we will take this city even further.”

“Let Injustice End, Let Freedom and Justice Prevail”

At the end of his speech, Mayor Eşki also addressed the ongoing legal proceedings against Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and other CHP municipalities:

“I hope that the unlawful operations targeting our CHP municipalities, especially Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor and Presidential Candidate Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, will come to an end and that justice will be restored. Elected mayors and public servants should be evaluated by the will of the people, not under political pressure. I hope that our mayors and bureaucrats who are unjustly imprisoned will regain their freedom. We will never lose our hope or give up our fight.”
