‘E-Permit’ Era Begins in Bornova

Bornova Municipality is launching the 'e-permit' system to simplify permit procedures. Attending the introduction meeting held in the Municipal Assembly Hall, Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that this initiative is part of the municipality’s digital transformation vision. Eşki stated that their goal is to ensure that citizens can access services more quickly and with greater satisfaction. With the new system, building permit procedures can now be completed more easily online.

To help citizens complete permit procedures more quickly and efficiently, Bornova Municipality introduced the e-permit application, which will be available through the municipality's official website. The informational meeting held in the Bornova Municipality Assembly Hall was attended by Permit Directorate personnel and citizens who are directly involved in the process.

A Digital Era in Bornova

The meeting continued with a Q&A session following the presentation, where Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki also joined to share the broader vision behind the project. Mayor Eşki noted that Bornova Municipality has been working on three major transformations over the past year:

“Urban transformation, green transformation, and digital transformation. These three areas form the roadmap we have chosen for Bornova. The e-permit application is a significant step within our digital transformation vision.”

Making Life Easier for Bornova Residents

Eşki underlined that digital transformation goes beyond simply increasing the use of technology within the municipality. Their aim, he said, is for citizens to directly benefit from this transformation. Highlighting the slow pace and bureaucratic obstacles often experienced during permit processes—which pose significant challenges for both citizens and industry professionals—Eşki said:

“This is not just Bornova’s issue; it’s a common problem for many municipalities. We are offering a solution at this point.”
