An Eight-Month Journey of Creativity Reflected on Canvas in Bornova

The “Colors on My Palette” exhibition, organized by Bornova Municipality to support art and creative production, opened its doors to art enthusiasts with strong public interest. The exhibition, held at the Uğur Mumcu Culture and Arts Center, showcases works created by participants of painter and instructor Gülay Ezberci’s workshop.

The workshop began on October 1, 2025, with 45 participants and evolved into an intensive and productive eight-month artistic journey. During this period, participants created 16 pastel paintings and 104 oil paintings, resulting in a total of 120 works displayed in the exhibition. The pieces, shaped by diverse techniques, color perceptions, and personal interpretations, received great appreciation from visitors.

Effort and Imagination Reflected on Canvas

More than a year-end exhibition, “Colors on My Palette” stands out as a special gathering that highlights the power of art in personal development and social connection. The exhibited works, produced through months of dedication, focus on themes such as nature, humanity, life, and emotion.

Created using oil and pastel techniques, the paintings demonstrate how amateur enthusiasm can merge with professional discipline. Visitors praised both the richness of colors and the meticulous craftsmanship evident in the artworks.

Gülay Ezberci Encourages Artistic Growth

Having dedicated many years to art education and contributed to the development of numerous artists, Gülay Ezberci emphasized that art is a form of expression that can be learned and developed at any age.

Under Ezberci’s guidance, participants received technical training throughout the eight-month program while also developing their own artistic perspectives.

The workshop is an important part of Bornova Municipality’s cultural and artistic initiatives, which continue to encourage public participation in creative production.
