Detailed Street-by-Street Cleaning in Mevlana Neighborhood

As part of its ongoing periodic cleaning campaign launched to create a cleaner city, the Bornova Municipality carried out an extensive cleanup operation throughout Mevlana Neighborhood, clearing streets, vacant lots, and accumulated dry leaves. Emphasizing that these efforts will continue uninterrupted across all neighborhoods of the district, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that municipal teams are on the field 24/7 to provide residents with a clean, healthy, and well-maintained environment.

Bornova Municipality continues its comprehensive cleaning campaign aimed at creating a cleaner and more livable city. The latest stop of the municipality’s routine deep-cleaning program was Mevlana Neighborhood, where teams from the Directorate of Cleaning Affairs conducted an intensive operation, ensuring that no street was left unattended.

Vacant Lots and Streets Cleared of Waste

As part of the campaign, municipal cleaning crews went beyond simply emptying waste containers. Teams thoroughly swept the streets and immediately addressed sources of environmental pollution. Garbage and solid waste illegally dumped on vacant lots by unidentified individuals were collected and removed. Dry leaves accumulated due to seasonal conditions, along with windblown debris scattered throughout the neighborhood, were also cleaned up.

Mayor Eşki: “We Are on Duty 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week”

Commenting on the district-wide cleaning campaign, Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that maintaining a clean Bornova is among the municipality’s top priorities.

“Bornova is one of İzmir’s busiest and most dynamic districts. To provide our residents with the clean, healthy, and orderly environment they deserve, our teams work around the clock, seven days a week. The detailed cleaning operation carried out in Mevlana Neighborhood is part of a program that will continue regularly in all neighborhoods across our district. Our goal is to create a spotless Bornova, street by street.”

Cleaning Operations to Expand Across the Entire District

In order to preserve urban aesthetics and maintain the highest standards of hygiene, Bornova Municipality has incorporated this special cleaning program into a regular schedule. The Directorate of Cleaning Affairs will continue conducting comprehensive neighborhood-wide cleaning operations each week in different parts of the district, ensuring that no neglected areas remain.
