An Important Step Toward International Cooperation Begins in Bornova

Bosnian businesspeople came together at a meeting hosted by Bornova Municipality at Dramalılar Mansion. The event, which included participants from both Turkey and abroad, focused on developing international cooperation in economic and social fields. During the discussions, participants emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural ties through business partnerships.

The meeting brought together entrepreneurs and representatives of associations from both countries to explore ways to deepen collaboration in economic and social domains.

Bornova Deputy Mayor and President of the Federation of Turkish Bosnian Cultural Associations, Barbaros Taşer, who hosted the meeting on behalf of Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki, highlighted the event as an important step in advancing relations between the two nations.

“Cultural Friendship Should Evolve into Economic Cooperation”

Federation President Barbaros Taşer reminded attendees of the long-standing friendship between Bosnian and Turkish communities, emphasizing the need to expand this bond into economic collaboration:

“As a federation, we have carried out numerous joint projects in cultural, social, and sporting fields. Since the time of the late Ahmet Kemal Baysak, this process has continued steadily with a focus on sustaining the friendship between our nations. We now believe it’s time to strengthen this relationship through trade and economic cooperation.”

“We Are Building a Foundation for International Economic Relations”

Amir Yatic, President of the Bosnian Strategic Cooperation and Development Organization, noted that despite being a newly established organization, they have ambitious goals:

“We were founded on January 18 and aim to enhance international economic cooperation. This meeting in Bornova holds great significance for us. We have formed a project team aligned with our goals and wish to foster not only trade but also stronger social connections.”

The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session, after which participants agreed to reconvene in the near future to outline a roadmap for future collaborations.
