The Turkish National Football Team’s major challenge on the world stage will be broadcast on giant screens at three different locations across Bornova through a joint organization by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Bornova Municipality. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki invited all citizens to experience this unique excitement together.

Bornova Municipality is bringing the excitement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, to the streets of Bornova. As the countdown continues for the Crescent-Stars’ crucial match against Paraguay, Mayor Ömer Eşki called on all residents of İzmir to be part of this great celebration.

A Grand Gathering in the Early Hours

The critical match that will play a decisive role in Türkiye’s group campaign will kick off at 06:00 AM (Türkiye time) on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Determined to keep the national spirit alive and unite citizens in support of the team regardless of the early hour, Bornova Municipality is preparing to fill the district with red and white at the break of dawn.

Shared Excitement at Three Locations Across Bornova

With organizational support from İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, giant-screen broadcasts will be set up simultaneously at three symbolic parks across Bornova, ensuring easy access for residents:

  • Büyükpark (organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality)
  • Çamdibi Atatürk Park
  • Pınarbaşı Çamlık Park
