Cream Puff and Falafel Roll Workshops Attract Great Interest

Throughout June, Bornova Municipality’s Culinary Workshops continue to bring residents of all ages together in the kitchen. Featuring hands-on sessions on both desserts and international cuisine, the workshops allow participants to learn new recipes while enjoying a fun and engaging experience.

As part of the June program, the Colorful Cream Puff Workshop and Falafel Roll Workshop have attracted significant interest. Under the guidance of expert instructors, participants receive both theoretical knowledge and practical experience as they prepare their own dishes.

A Culinary Journey from French Pastry to Middle Eastern Flavors

During the Colorful Cream Puff Workshop, participants learned how to prepare one of the classics of French pastry, the cream puff, using creative colors and presentation techniques. Morning and afternoon sessions covered pastry preparation, cream filling, and decorating methods through hands-on instruction.

The Falafel Roll Workshop introduced participants to one of the Middle East’s most popular dishes. They learned how to prepare falafel, explored different sauce varieties, and discovered creative serving techniques.

Learning and Socializing in the Kitchen

The workshops offer more than just cooking experience—they also provide opportunities for participants to meet new people, build friendships, and connect through shared interests. Alongside daily cooking activities, attendees receive guidance on culinary culture, healthy eating, and creative food presentation.

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that the workshops, organized as part of the municipality’s lifelong learning initiatives, have received strong interest from residents.

"We continue to diversify our courses to support the social, cultural, and personal development of the people of Bornova. Our culinary workshops have become valuable gathering places that encourage both learning and sharing," he said.
