Maintenance, Renovation, and Production Mobilization Across the District

With the arrival of spring, Bornova Municipality has accelerated its efforts in park renovation, construction of walking paths, and maintenance of green areas throughout the district. Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that increasing green spaces and preserving existing ones are among their top priorities.

The Parks and Gardens Directorate of Bornova Municipality has intensified its work to create a greener, more aesthetic, and more livable city. Across various parts of the district, multiple projects are being carried out simultaneously, including park maintenance, construction of walking paths, renewal of playgrounds, and plant production.

Playgrounds in Parks Are Being Renewed

Municipal teams are focusing particularly on renovating parks to ensure that children can spend time in safe and comfortable environments. In this context, the playground behind the Ümit Neighborhood Headman’s Office is being upgraded, with both the ground surfaces and play equipment being renewed to make the area safer and more modern. These improvements aim to provide a more comfortable experience for both children and their families.

New Walking Paths Are Being Created

Efforts are also underway to increase areas where residents can exercise in nature. Walking paths are being constructed around the EVKA-4 Urban Garden, making the area more accessible for local residents. These initiatives both promote healthy living and enhance the organization and usability of the surrounding environment.

Maintenance Works in Parks and Squares

Maintenance activities in parks, squares, and medians continue uninterrupted. Municipal teams are carrying out lawn mowing and landscaping works in many locations, particularly in Pınarbaşı Square and the Değirmenaltı area. These efforts help preserve the aesthetic appearance of Bornova’s green spaces while ensuring a more organized urban environment.

Emphasizing that increasing and preserving green areas is a priority, Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
