Bornova Misket Grape, one of the symbols of Izmir, has been grown in these lands for thousands of years with its unique aroma, thin skin and strong smell. Mentioned in historical sources such as Herodotus and Evliya Çelebi, this grape is not only an agricultural product but also an ecological heritage of Bornova. As a result of the application made by Bornova Municipality, it was registered with a geographical indication by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office on 07.04.2021. We continue our work to protect, promote and transfer Bornova Misket Grape to the future.
