Bornova Muscat Grape Vineyard

As the Bornova Municipality, we are launching a significant project to repopulate the Bornova Muscat Grape, a geographically indicated grape that has become a symbol of our district, in its homeland. By transforming a 9-acre municipally-owned plot into a Bornova Muscat Grape vineyard in the Işıkkent neighborhood, we are bringing this long-unused area back into production. With these efforts, we aim to both support local production and carry Bornova's deep-rooted agricultural heritage into the future.

We continue to work to make every corner of our city greener, more productive, and more livable. This project, implemented in collaboration with the Manisa Viticulture Research Institute, will ensure that the Bornova Muscat Grape, with its fragrance, flavor, and cultural value, once again takes its rightful place in our city's identity.
