Mayor Eşki: “Tables Will Be Set with Solidarity”

Bornova Municipality has completed its preparations for the month of Ramadan. Emphasizing that social municipalism is the cornerstone of their governance approach, Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that they have prepared a comprehensive program to strengthen the spirit of solidarity throughout Ramadan.

Iftar Tables Every Evening at Kent Restaurants

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki announced that during Ramadan, iftar meals will be provided every evening across Bornova with the support of benefactors and stakeholders.

“At our Kızılay Kent Restaurant, Çamdibi Kent Restaurant, and Mevlana Kent Restaurant, we will bring our citizens together with warm meals at iftar time. We are aiming to serve an average of 1,000 people daily. These tables are not just about food; they represent sharing, unity, and solidarity,” he said.

Support at Metro Stations for Those Unable to Reach Iftar on Time

Mayor Eşki also noted that citizens who are unable to reach their homes or iftar tables after work have not been forgotten. He stated that warm support will be offered at transportation hubs.

“At Stadyum Metro, Bornova Metro, and EVKA-3 Metro stations, we will serve soup and cold sandwiches every day to approximately 1,000 citizens who cannot make it to iftar in time. We aim for a Ramadan where no one goes hungry and no one feels alone,” he said.

Mayor Eşki added that iftar meals and distributions will be provided on weekdays and that the entire organization has been planned with great care.

“Social Municipalism Requires Support, Not Just Words”

Reminding that Ramadan is a month of sharing and solidarity, Mayor Eşki emphasized that Bornova Municipality implements this understanding directly in the field.

“For us, social municipalism is not merely about projects; it is about standing by our citizens when they are in need. At every table set during Ramadan, there will be the conscience, solidarity, and brotherhood of Bornova. Together with our team, we are ready for the month of Ramadan,” he stated.
