Bornova Entrusts Youth Week Stage to Local Artists

Bornova Municipality’s 19 May Youth Festival will take place at Küçükpark Square between May 14–18. The festival will feature young music bands supported by Bornova Municipality, along with artists from Bornova and İzmir. Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that the festival is an important cultural gathering that supports young people’s artistic production and emphasized that Bornova will continue to be a city of youth and art.

Organized by Bornova Municipality, the 19 May Youth Festival will bring young people together through music at Bornova Küçükpark Square from May 14 to 18. In addition to young music groups supported by the municipality, artists originating from Bornova and İzmir will also perform throughout the festival.

As part of the festival program, İlyada will take the stage on May 14, Zoza on May 15, and Kozmonot on May 16. On the closing night, DJ Olcay Fidan and Fondip will deliver unforgettable performances, bringing the excitement of May 19 to young audiences.

Mayor Eşki: “We are creating space for the voices of young people”

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that the festival is not merely an entertainment event, but also a cultural movement that makes young people’s creative work more visible.

Eşki said:

“Bornova will continue to be a city of youth, art, and free expression. It is very valuable for us that our local music groups and İzmir-based artists can perform in their own city. We will continue supporting the energy and creativity of young people.”

Five days of music at Küçükpark

As part of the festival program, concerts will be held every evening at Küçükpark Square. The events, expected to attract strong interest especially from alternative rock and electronic music fans, will allow young people to experience the spirit of May 19 in an atmosphere of music and solidarity.
