Karacaoğlan Neighborhood Is Leaving Dust and Mud Behind

Bornova Municipality, taking decisive action to address the district’s long-standing road problems, has begun asphalt paving works on 6203 Street in Karacaoğlan Neighborhood, where new residential areas are rapidly developing. Inspecting the works on site, Mayor Ömer Eşki said they were fulfilling their promise to local residents, stating, “We are transforming this street, where residents have struggled with mud in winter and dust in summer for years, into a modern and comfortable road before the rains begin.”

Bornova Municipality continues its infrastructure and superstructure improvements across the district without slowing down. Giving high priority to road construction and maintenance, teams from Bornova Municipality’s Directorate of Technical Affairs have launched comprehensive asphalt paving works in Karacaoğlan Neighborhood, one of the rapidly developing areas of the district where new residential settlements are emerging. Located directly alongside the highway leading to İzmir Bus Terminal and serving as one of the area’s main roads, 6203 Street is gaining a completely new and modern appearance through the intensive works being carried out.

Mayor Eşki Inspected the Works on Site

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki inspected the works in Karacaoğlan Neighborhood together with municipal administrators. Closely following the asphalt paving process and receiving detailed information from the technical team, Mayor Eşki delivered important news to local residents ahead of the winter season.

“We Promised to Finish Before the Rains, and We Are Keeping That Promise”

Emphasizing that 6203 Street had become a long-standing problem awaiting a solution, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:

“Today, we are on 6203 Street in Karacaoğlan Neighborhood, where new residential areas are rapidly developing and which runs parallel to the highway leading to the Bus Terminal. Unfortunately, for years, this area has been a place where residents have struggled with mud whenever it rained in winter and heavy dust during the summer months. When we took office, we made a promise to the people living here. We said, ‘We will transform this place into a modern road before the rains begin this year.’ Today, we are happy to fulfill that promise. Our teams have quickly begun asphalt paving, and we will complete the works here entirely within a very short time. I hope our newly renovated road will bring good fortune and convenience to all residents of this area and to the people of Bornova.”

Uninterrupted Transportation Drive Ahead of Winter

With vehicle and pedestrian traffic increasing day by day as new residential areas are being constructed, 6203 Street in Karacaoğlan Neighborhood will become part of Bornova’s comfortable and safe transportation network once the asphalt works are completed. Bornova Municipality will continue to accelerate road renewal and asphalt paving works at other critical points across the district before the adverse weather conditions of the winter season intensify.
